Manager Finance & Control (1 Position(s)) Job Location : Head Office Job Purpose: To guarantee precise recording and reporting of financial transactions, conduct thorough cost analysis, manage budgets, exercise budgetary control, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payment processes. Main Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting functions, which include maintaining and updating the chart of accounts, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures. Ensuring the stewardship of financial assets through meticulous oversight of all transactions, systems, and procedures to guarantee adherence to both local and international regulatory frameworks, accounting principles, and established standards. Offering strategic guidance to leadership regarding financial matters, evaluating the implications of domestic and global financial reporting standards. Collaborate closely with Senior Managers to develop financial forecasts and foster stakeholder relationships, ensuring the precise and punctual execution of the annual budget and bank strategy. Review and monitor General Ledgers and Cost Center budgets to ensure accurate monthly reports are prepared and distributed to Cost Center owners, facilitating discussions on identified variances and fostering a cost-conscious organizational culture. Ensure prompt processing of invoices and staff reimbursement claims in strict adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while securely maintaining records for straightforward retrieval and comprehensive audit documentation. Timely resolution of all queries and complaints is essential, with strict adherence to agreed-upon turnaround times (TAT’s) for P2P transactions, GL access, and refunds or reversals-related inquiries. Diligently monitor receivables accounts—including intercompany, government, and other categories—to ensure outstanding balances are settled promptly and to prevent the need for loss provisions. Collaborate with finance analysts and senior finance analysts to ensure their comprehension of financial processes and procedures, aligning their responsibilities with departmental objectives and the Bank’s strategic direction. Ensuring the efficacy and operational readiness of controls by regularly reviewing the Finance Risk register. Collaborate effectively with Senior Managers to maintain adherence to established finance processes, procedures, and policies while regularly assessing and updating them to align with evolving systems. Collaborate effectively with Senior Managers to deliver assistance on leadership and management initiatives, focusing on training, performance enhancement, and staff coaching to elevate overall team productivity. Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in financial control and management, with a strong ability to apply the Bank’s products, policies, and procedures effectively. Technical proficiencies encompass financial management and accounting expertise, as well as strong computer literacy skills. The ideal candidate should be adept in utilizing key software tools, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP-P2P, BI systems, and Flex cube.

Qualifications and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in business studies, accountancy, finance, or a related discipline is required. A professional accounting qualification, such as CPA or ARCA (or equivalent), would be highly beneficial. A Master’s degree in business studies is highly beneficial. Postgraduate qualifications in banking or relevant certifications are advantageous. With a minimum of four years of dedicated experience in Financial Management and Accounting, along with a demonstrated history of leadership in medium to large organizations, you will bring valuable expertise to this role.
