Recruitment of an Internal Auditor (M/F) Yaoundé – ACMS The Cameroon Association for Social Marketing (ACMS), a non-governmental organization committed to improving the health and well-being of Cameroonian populations, recruits an Internal Auditor (H/F) to strengthen its internal control and risk management system.

Main duties

The successful candidate will be involved in the planning and execution of audit engagements, the evaluation of internal procedures and the follow-up of recommendations aimed at improving the transparency and performance of the organization. Main duties

• 1. Planning and Conducting Audits Participate in the development of the annual risk-based audit plan. Conduct financial, operational, compliance and performance audits. Review administrative, accounting and financial procedures. Evaluate the performance of projects and support services.
• 2. Internal control and risk management Identify financial, operational and fraud risks. Verify compliance of operations with internal procedures and donor requirements. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. Make recommendations to improve procedures.
• 3. Reports and follow-up on recommendations Prepare audit reports and present findings to relevant officials. Follow up on the implementation of recommendations. Collaborate with external auditors and financial partners.
• 4. Investigations and Controls Participate in investigations into irregularities and suspected cases of fraud. Carry out unannounced checks of cash, inventory and assets. Oversee physical inventories and verify their consistency with accounting data.
• 5. Supervision and continuous improvement To supervise and support interns in internal audit. Contribute to the improvement of audit tools and methods. Participate in ethics awareness and fraud prevention activities.

Candidate profile

Education / Qualifications

Have a minimum BAC degree+4 in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Management Control or equivalent.

Experience

Have at least 4 years of professional experience in audit, internal control, risk management or financial control. Have already conducted audit missions and written professional reports. Experience in an audit firm, NGO or on projects financed by international donors is an asset. A CIA, CISA, ACCA, CFE or DEC certification, obtained or in progress, would be appreciated. Technical skills Good knowledge of international internal audit standards (IIA) and COSO. Mastery of SYSCOHADA accounting revised. Knowledge of international donor procedures. Mastery of audit techniques, financial controls and inventories. Excellent mastery of Excel and office tools. Knowledge of Power BI, ACL or IDEA is an advantage.
