AngloGold Ashanti Limited is recruiting a Rubber Liner for its Iduapriem mine in Tarkwa, Ghana. Permanent position, full-time.
Job Context AngloGold Ashanti is a leading global mining company. Its subsidiary AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited operates the Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pit mines in Tarkwa, Western Region, Ghana, with a workforce of over 1,400 people, including contractors.
Role Purpose To coordinate issues relating to conveyor belts and rubber lining on the main conveyor, including supervising all conveyor belt breakdowns and coordinating to ensure smooth shutdown maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of conveyor lines
- Routine conveyor maintenance
- Repair of all conveyor breakdowns
- Sandblasting and rubber lining of pipesRequired Profile
Education
NVTI Apprenticeship Program Certificate Grade 1&2 in Rubber Lining_Experience, Knowledge and Skills_
1 to 3 years of work experience in a processing plant within the mining industry or similar environment
Knowledge of types of rubber adhesives and cements
Knowledge of mixing ratios and curing times
Knowledge of the effects of temperature and humidity on bonding
Ability to avoid bonding failures (delamination, bubbles, weak joints)
