We are currently recruiting for the position of Pharmacist-in-Charge, with the following key details: Job Title: Pharmacist-in-Charge Job Grade: MS4 Location: Lilongwe Reporting Line: Directly to the Branch Manager (MS3) and overseeing the Pharmacist (MS5) Vacancy: One (1) position available Core Responsibilities: This role requires providing comprehensive oversight of all pharmaceutical warehouse operations, encompassing inbound and outbound logistics, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and operational standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining compliance with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority Act, applicable laws, and best practices in warehousing and distribution. The successful candidate will supervise warehouse activities to enhance efficiency, guarantee real-time accuracy in ERP-based inventory transactions, and securely manage documentation related to receipts, orders, and shipments. Additionally, the role involves coordinating third-party logistics providers to ensure cost-effective last-mile distribution, collaborating with the Finance Department to facilitate precise customer invoicing, and advising management on stock levels and movement trends. Ensuring the upkeep, optimization, and safety of warehouse infrastructure, equipment, and material-handling processes is also essential, along with developing, maintaining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution, possess the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, and be registered with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be highly advantageous.
