Key Responsibilities – Overseeing warehouse operations to ensure full compliance with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority Act, relevant regulations, and Good Warehousing and Distribution Practices. – Directing and monitoring warehouse workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. – Maintaining real-time accuracy of inventory transactions within the ERP system. – Safeguarding and organizing documentation for receipts, customer orders, and shipments. – Managing third-party logistics providers for cost-effective last-mile distribution. – Collaborating with the Finance Department to ensure precise customer billing. – Providing strategic guidance to management on stock availability and movement trends. – Ensuring warehouse infrastructure, equipment, and handling procedures are well-maintained, optimized, safe, and efficient. – Developing, implementing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations. – Identifying staff training needs and implementing targeted capacity-building initiatives. – Preparing annual work plans and budgets while overseeing the performance of subordinate staff. Qualifications and Experience – A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. – Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent qualification. – Valid registration with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). – A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is advantageous. – Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a high-volume pharmaceutical warehouse setting.
