To strengthen its operations in Mzuzu, Lilongwe, and Blantyre, CMST invites applications from dynamic and forward-thinking professionals for the following position: Pharmacist-in-Charge Position: Pharmacist-in-Charge Grade: MS4 Location: Lilongwe Reporting Line: Branch Manager (MS3) Supervisory Role: Pharmacist (MS5) Vacancies: 1 Position Overview This role involves overseeing pharmaceutical warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and operational standards. Key Responsibilities – Enforcing compliance with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority Act, relevant regulations, and best practices in warehousing and distribution. – Overseeing warehouse activities to enhance efficiency and productivity. – Ensuring real-time, accurate recording of inventory transactions in the ERP system. – Maintaining secure records of receipts, orders, and shipments. – Coordinating third-party logistics providers for cost-effective last-mile delivery. – Collaborating with the Finance Department to guarantee precise customer billing. – Providing strategic guidance on stock levels and movement trends. – Ensuring the upkeep, optimization, and safety of warehouse facilities, equipment, and material-handling processes. – Developing, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations. – Evaluating staff training needs and executing capacity-building initiatives. – Preparing work plans and budgets while managing subordinate staff performance. Qualifications and Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution. – Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent qualification. – Valid registration with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA). – Postgraduate training in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is advantageous. – Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a high-volume pharmaceutical warehouse setting. Required Skills and Attributes – Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. – Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. – Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
