The Deputy Director of Programs (DDP) at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) leads the strategic direction of the program portfolio in Niger. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the DDP manages a team of eight professionals and is responsible for program prioritization, resource optimization, and strategic adaptation in a challenging operational environment. The role involves ensuring quality program implementation, managing grants, and fostering a culture of accountability and learning within the team. The position is based in Niamey and requires field travel as security conditions permit. Experience in strategic leadership Strong program management skills Ability to manage and mentor staff Experience in resource mobilization Knowledge of MEAL systems Crisis management experience Strong communication and representation skills
