Food & Beverage Service Team Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at Four Points by Sheraton in Kigali, Rwanda, where collaboration and exceptional guest service are paramount. In this role, you will collaborate with staff to deliver outstanding service while ensuring all guest needs are addressed promptly. Responsibilities include conducting grooming and attire inspections, performing opening and closing procedures such as setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, securing the premises, and verifying storage areas for organization and compliance with FIFO standards. You will also manage inventory counts, stock replenishment, and dining room operations, including seating coordination, service standards, guest safety, and well-being. Additionally, you will coordinate maintenance requests, assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and mentoring employees, and uphold our Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. Adherence to all company, safety, and security protocols is mandatory, including reporting incidents, completing required training, and maintaining a professional appearance while safeguarding proprietary information and company assets. Your guest interactions will reflect our standards of warmth and professionalism, with a focus on anticipating needs, accommodating individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Clear and respectful communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution are essential, as is a commitment to continuous improvement through innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This position requires the ability to interpret small print, inspect equipment for defects, and maintain physical stamina—standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving objects up to 50 pounds, and navigating tight spaces, stairs, or service ramps. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the flexibility to reach overhead or below knee level are also necessary. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant experience—including one year in a supervisory capacity—no specific licenses or certifications are required.
