The MERL Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, executing, and managing comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning frameworks that enhance strategic decision-making and assess program efficacy. This position involves assessing program outcomes, providing expert guidance on data-driven enhancements, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability among varied stakeholders. Additionally, the Specialist identifies emerging trends to ensure the seamless integration of evidence-based approaches into initiatives aimed at strengthening justice systems. Oversee a range of critical duties including developing and executing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring to achieve defined milestones and deliverables within specified timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns, fostering transparent communication channels. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Responsible for supervising the execution of MERL strategies, maintaining data integrity, adherence to established policies, and the prompt delivery of reports to stakeholders. Provide expert counsel to leadership and partners, leveraging evidence-based approaches, and facilitate structured learning sessions to foster ongoing enhancement and collaborative knowledge exchange. Seeking a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of three years of experience in financial analysis or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior involvement with justice service providers in Uganda are considered advantageous. Critical qualities include a proven track record in project management, with at least five years of relevant experience in a leadership role.
