Position: Land Surveyor Location: Regional Office (North), Mzuzu Grade: HC 7 Reporting to: Regional Manager (North) Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of cadastral survey computations. Execute comprehensive land surveys, including cadastral and topographic surveys, across the region for both MHC and external clients. Address land survey requests and boundary disputes promptly and efficiently. Develop and manage budgets for the survey section, ensuring financial accountability. Collaborate with the Estates Management Section to resolve encroachment issues on MHC land holdings. Maintain and ensure the proper upkeep of survey equipment. Submit regular progress reports on regional land survey activities. Delegate responsibilities and evaluate team performance. Minimum Academic & Professional Requirements: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Surveying. Mandatory registration with the Surveyors Institute of Malawi or an equivalent professional body. Required Professional Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in land surveying. Essential Competencies & Skills: In-depth expertise in all types of surveying and operational procedures. Strong leadership, planning, and coordination capabilities. Proficiency in computer applications relevant to surveying. Ability to work independently, demonstrate resilience, and meet demanding deadlines in challenging environments.
