Position: Land Surveyor Location: Regional Office (North), Mzuzu Grade: HC 7 Reporting Line: Regional Manager (North) Core Responsibilities: – Oversee the computation processes for cadastral surveys. – Perform comprehensive land surveys, including cadastral and topographic assessments, across the region for MHC and external clients. – Address land survey requests and boundary disputes promptly. – Develop strategic plans and allocate budgets for the survey section. – Collaborate with the Estates Management Section to resolve encroachment issues on MHC land holdings. – Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of survey equipment. – Compile and submit timely progress reports on regional land survey activities. – Assign tasks and conduct performance evaluations for team members. Minimum Educational & Professional Requirements: – A Bachelor of Science degree in Land Surveying or an equivalent qualification. – Mandatory registration with the Surveyors Institute of Malawi or another recognized professional body. Desired Experience & Competencies: – A minimum of two years of professional experience in land surveying. – Extensive expertise in various survey methodologies and operational procedures. – Proven leadership, organizational, and coordination capabilities. – Proficiency in computer applications. – Self-motivation, resilience, and adaptability to challenging and demanding environments. – Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
