The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and expansion across Ghana and the broader African market. The role is responsible for financial governance, capital strategy, operational performance, and regulatory compliance across the full pharmaceutical value chain—including manufacturing, distribution, retail pharmacy, and cross-border partnerships. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company’s next phase of growth through multinational collaborations, contract manufacturing, and innovative financing models.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy aligned with corporate and regional expansion goals
Advise the CEO on financial planning, investments, risk management, and growth opportunities
Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling
Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and cross-border market entry strategies
Translate business strategy into financial performance and value creation
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with IFRS and Ghanaian statutory requirements
Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to executive leadership and Board
Monitor profitability across business units, branches, product lines, and channels
Strengthen financial reporting frameworks across multi-entity and regional operations
Treasury, Capital & Investor Management
Lead capital structuring, fundraising, and financing strategies (including development finance and cross-border funding)
Manage liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships
Oversee foreign exchange planning, especially for imports and supplier payments
Optimize cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory financing
Manage investor relations and strategic financial partnerships
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial policies
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including Ghana Revenue Authority and Bank of Ghana
Coordinate internal and external audits
Identify financial, operational, and market risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory frameworks
Operational Finance & Value Chain Optimization
Drive cost efficiency across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and retail operations
Support contract manufacturing and supply chain financing models
Partner with commercial and operations teams on pricing, margins, and procurement savings
Oversee inventory valuation, stock management, and shrinkage control
Implement KPI dashboards for performance tracking (e.g., margins, stock turns, operating costs)
Partnerships & Expansion
Structure and manage multinational pharmaceutical partnerships and alliances
Support government and institutional collaborations across Africa
Provide financial leadership for new ventures, joint ventures, and expansion projects
Enable scalable financial systems across multiple markets
Leadership & Team Development
Lead Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Audit, and FP&A teams
Build a high-performance, ethical, and data-driven finance culture
Develop leadership pipeline and succession within the finance function
Formation / Diplômes
Drive transformation, digital finance, and ERP optimization initiatives
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Revenue growth and EBITDA improvement
Gross margin optimization
Cash flow strength and liquidity ratios
Working capital efficiency (inventory turnover, receivables, payables)
Budget vs. actual performance
ROI / ROCE on strategic investments
Audit findings resolution rate
Compliance with tax and statutory obligations
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
MBA or Master’s degree in Finance/Business (preferred)
Professional certification (ACCA, ICA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Minimum 12–15 years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in executive leadership
Proven experience in multinational or multi-entity environments
Strong background in pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, healthcare, or retail sectors
Deep knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury, and corporate finance
Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
