Job Summary:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the company's financial management, overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the logistics or freight sector, strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead and inspire a finance team.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support growth, profitability, and sustainability.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely dissemination.
Lead financial risk management efforts, including assessment and mitigation of financial risks.
Ensure compliance with all financial reporting regulations, standards, and requirements.
Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital structure optimization.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the management team to inform business decisions.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to support the financial aspects of operations, sales, and marketing strategies.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
Enhance financial performance through cost management, revenue growth, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Must be a chartered member of ACCA, ICA, or CIMA.
Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar role, with at least 7 years in a leadership position.
Prior experience in the logistics and freight sector is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Sage).
