We draw on deep contextual knowledge and embrace emerging technologies to save lives, alleviate suffering, and protect and restore our planet. Working in collaboration with a growing ecosystem of local, national and international partners, we pursue one shared objective: a 3Zero World - Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty. Who we are looking for You bring the core competencies required for classical humanitarian and development work, alongside an active climate and environmental conscience, and you can navigate the challenges that arise when human and environmental suffering intersect. You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you see opportunities, connect dots, adapt your approach to different environments, and take measured risks in pursuit of results. You balance principles with pragmatism, and ambition with humility. Acted Democratic Republic of the Congo The Democratic Republic of the Congo faces a prolonged humanitarian crisis, characterized by persisting armed conflicts, massive population displacements, repeated climatic and epidemic shocks (including cholera, mpox and measles). These combined dynamics durably impact the living conditions of displaced, returned, and host populations, especially in the eastern areas and some western areas of the country. In this context, Acted mainly operates in the provinces of South Kivu, North Kivu, Tanganyika, North Ubangi and South Ubangi, through projects funded mainly by US Department of State, ECHO, FCDO, SDC, Humanitarian Fund, and the CDCS, to respond to immediate humanitarian needs and persisting vulnerabilities of the populations most affected. To strengthen the reach and complementarity of its interventions, Acted acts in coordination with several operational partners, and is a member of humanitarian consortia. This coordination allows Acted to implement swift and multisectoral emergency responses to cover vital needs linked to the conflicts, forced displacements, natural disasters and health crises. Mostly, interventions focus on food assistance, shelter,

WASH, camp coordination (CCCM), and education, with a specific focus on protection and dignity for vulnerable populations, to the last mile. Additionally, in South Kivu, Acted is a key actor of the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM), contributing to swift and coordinated responses to displacements and sudden shocks. In the meantime, Acted develops interventions aimed at strengthening community resilience, through support in livelihood, agriculture recovery, food security and local economic recovery, in order to limit vulnerability to recurring shocks. Acted also provides structuring support to civil society organizations (CSOs), by strengthening organizational and operational capacities. This includes supporting the structuration of local initiatives as well as the implementation of cascading funding mechanisms, allowing CSOs to develop activities that are especially relevant for local needs and priorities identified by communities. Lastly, Acted progressively integrates within its programming climate-sensitive approaches, aiming at preserving protected ecosystems and areas, reducing the environmental footprint of interventions and promoting low-carbon solutions. Through community support, Acted favours the development of sustainable income-generating activities and a greener local economy, contributing to natural resources protection while strengthening livelihoods.
