AngloGold Ashanti Limited is recruiting a Technician, Mechanical – Light Vehicles for its Obuasi mine in Ghana.
Context of the position AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine, is completing its redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient, and long-term profitable operation. The fully mechanized underground mine is designed to produce up to 5,000 tonnes of ore per day.
Main responsibilities Under the supervision of the Workshop Supervisor – Light Mobile Equipment, the Technician, Mechanical – Light Vehicles performs planned and unplanned maintenance, servicing, and repairs of light vehicles and trucks, in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. He/she carries out daily equipment checks, identifies anomalies, prepares necessary materials, and records work orders in SAP.
Required profile
- Secondary/technical education level.
- Recognized apprenticeship certificate in auto mechanics (e.g., City & Guilds).
- NVTI Grade 1.
- Valid driving and/or operating license.
- Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience in auto mechanics.
- Knowledge of Ghana's mining regulations (Health, Safety and Technical).
- Experience in an underground environment is an asset.
- Technical skills: reading, writing, arithmetic; mastery of the mechanic trade; knowledge of crane safety.Location: Obuasi, Ghana Contract type: Permanent, full-time Application deadline: 08 May 2026
