Balancing Machine Operators (M/F)

About the post We are looking for four (04) Balancing Machine Operators who will be responsible for operating the balancing machines (stackers/reclaimers) in a safe and efficient way to manage stocks and ensure a mix and take-back of iron ore compliant with requirements, while supporting train loading operations, maintaining a continuous flow of material compliant with quality specifications in order to ensure compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, they will have the following responsibilities:

• Use machines efficiently targeting the KPIs set by the shift supervisor and avoiding over-stacking, while monitoring dust emission.
• Operate balancing machines for the stacking and recovery of ore in stock areas according to mixing plans, with a focus on KPIs such as crude loading rates, net, and recovery rates.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust operations to maintain optimal throughput and product quality.
• Perform pre-start inspections and ensure equipment readiness while coordinating with the control room and train loading teams to synchronize material flow.
• Maintain accurate records of stock volumes, take-back rates and train loading data while reporting equipment defects and assisting with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Comply with safety protocols, including recording/labelling procedures (LOTO) during maintenance activities while ensuring the cleaning and application of 5S principles on and around equipment under its responsibility.
• Participate in safety talks, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to the commissioning and operational readiness activities of the stockyard and the TLO system. What we offer:

Candidate profile

High school diploma or technical certificate in mining operations or similar field Experience in the operation of stackers/recoverers or similar equipment in the heavy mining or industrial sector Knowledge of fleet management, mixing practice and train loading operations Prior experience in mining, export or maritime operations Ability to communicate clearly via two-way radio and execute room control instructions Ability to operate balancing machines and associated control systems safely and efficiently Knowledge of plant control systems and production reporting tools Basic mechanical skills for routine inspections and minor adjustments Guinean nationality (only open to Guineans with a local contract) Assets Experience in the operation of fixed and mobile equipment would be an asset
