Auditor - Financial transactions. Internal audit and financial investigations Douala Job description The Financial Operations Auditor will play a crucial role in our financial and operational audit department. He/she will be responsible for conducting medium to high risk audits, analyzing internal controls and making recommendations to strengthen our internal control framework. This role is essential to maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations, thus ensuring the company’s compliance with legal and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct financial and operational audits in accordance with the audit plan, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Analyze the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.

Experience

Review business processes in the Finance, Customer Experience, Sales, Technology, Legal and other divisions. Make recommendations to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations and legislative developments. Prepare audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and identify control gaps.

Other information

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices and emerging risks in financial and operational areas. Assist in special projects and investigations, as required by the internal audit team. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all audit-related activities.

Candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. A professional certification such as CIA, CPA or ACCA is preferable. Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or a related field. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis and internal control frameworks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen sense of detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education / Qualifications

Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to clearly present complex information. Mastering audit software and data analysis tools is an asset.
