Driver of Works — Truvok
The work driver is a person in the field whose activities vary greatly depending on the size of the construction site and the structure of the company. It depends directly on the head of the company or the director of works and is at the center of all activities and construction.
Main duties
The construction site is set up even before work begins: verification of the estimated budgets and inspection of the various documents provided. The driver ensures the coordination and recruitment of the different actors — customer, management, suppliers and subcontractors — and plan the work to be done by everyone. It optimizes the organization of the site from the point of view of the environment, safety, quality, profitability and respect for deadlines.
He studies the file and contracts, prepares the operation, defines the needs, methods, human and material resources, and plans the operation. It carries out the budget and the synthesis work, defines the needs with the design offices and analyzes the results of the study. He organizes deliveries, storage and installations in cooperation with the site manager, and ensures customer satisfaction.
Candidate profile
The candidate must have a general knowledge of the company’s economy and construction sites, as well as skills in project management and team management. It integrates safety procedures in the course of construction sites and has solid management knowledge to ensure a follow-up and financial reporting of the activity of the site (work situations).
He must be able to analyze a technical file and propose technical and financial changes. He has mastered the necessary tools for filming and updating specifications (levels, lasermeter...) or more broadly for project management (MS Project, etc.). He has knowledge of films (surface, volumes ...) and masters the technical rules related to the construction of a work (building, civil engineering ...). He knows the different trades involved in a construction site as well as the standards in terms of quality (ISO 9000), safety and environment (ISO 14001), and high environmental quality (HQE).
The position requires authority and availability, the driver being the pivot of the construction site, the one to which all trades converge. It also requires organization and method in order to prioritize and coordinate the smooth running of the construction site, as well as mobility to supervise several sites at the same time on different geographical areas.
