Bilingual Senior Accounting Recruitment (M/F)

Talentéo Consulting SARL on behalf of a company operating in an international business environment, Accountant Senior Bilingual (M/F). The position is entirely remote from Cameroon.

The selected professional will independently take charge of accounting management, guarantee the reliability of financial information and contribute to the production of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including OHADA, as well as tax obligations in force in Cameroon. They will also have to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral, in order to interact with English speakers, prepare financial reports and meet the requirements of an international work environment. The position requires great autonomy, excellent organization, rigor and strict compliance with accounting, tax and financial deadlines.

Duties

The primary role of the Bilingual Senior Accountant will be to ensure the management and supervision of accounting and tax transactions, to produce reliable financial statements in accordance with applicable standards, and to provide relevant financial analysis to support management decision making. He/She will ensure the regularity of accounting operations, the compliance of tax declarations and the quality of financial reporting, while ensuring professional communication in English as part of his/her duties.

Education and experience

The candidate must hold a degree in accounting, finance, management or any other equivalent field, and have at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in accounting. Proven experience in the preparation of financial statements and DSF is expected, as well as a mastery of OHADA accounting standards and Cameroonian taxation. Experience in an international environment is an asset.

Technical skills

The position requires a command of general and ideally analytical accounting, as well as a good knowledge of accounting closing processes. The candidate must be able to prepare and control the financial statements and the DSF, and master Cameroon’s tax obligations. Skills in financial analysis, reporting and budget monitoring are required, as well as a good mastery of Excel and IT accounting management tools. The ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines is essential.

Language skills

An excellent professional command of English, both written and oral, is required, as well as a good command of French. The candidate must be able to produce and present financial information in English.

Rigor and high sense of detail, integrity and respect for confidentiality, a spirit of analysis and synthesis, autonomy and responsibility, organization and effective management of priorities, good communication and a spirit of collaboration, ability to adapt to a remote work environment.

Experience

Level: Senior. Professional experience: between 5 and 8 years.
