Main duties

Tasks and missions: Welcome the family, evaluate the child’s development and animate the TheraStim sessions with the accompanying person in the spaces dedicated to stimulation therapy in the targeted UNT and UNA. Raise awareness among parents and caregivers of malnourished children through health discussions in therapeutic stimulation spaces, about the importance of TheraStim. Offer the child play sessions, therapeutic, to help him pass the stages of development corresponding to his abilities. Consider possible limitations due to the effects of malnutrition. Promote sensory development and fine motor skills Improve overall balance and facilitate movement of the child through appropriate stimulations, In collaboration with other project teams inform the community about the nature of services in Stimulation Therapy and rehabilitation proposed by Hl as part of the project. Participates in mass awareness sessions organized jointly with other actors present in health centers or activities are carried out. Enforce Hl’s Child Protection and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CASA) policies and report to the line manager any lack of compliance with Hl’s policy within teams or partners; Performs weekly reports of project activities and establishes with the Rehabilitation Officer the schedule of activities and weekly travel. Keep up-to-date information and follow-up data of beneficiaries.

Education / Qualifications

Skills: Have basic training in Kinesitherapy, Occupational Therapy or other knowledge about one of the areas of functional rehabilitation; Have a basic training in early childhood development; Have a real motivation to work and play with children under 5 years old. Be able to move very easily, and work at the height of the child (be close to the ground). Have very good interpersonal skills with a fragile audience and know how to adapt to his interlocutor; Have a high communication capacity and know how to carry essential messages to a wide audience; Have a very good sense of organization of activities, contextual analysis and adaptation to the environment (places, people, events) ÊBe autonomous, responsible and very proactive, able to take initiatives and make relevant proposals; Working language: Excellent in French (written and oral) and local Arabic and Sudanese (oral) Have a good command of the computer tool: Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Languages required: French and Arabic. Dialects: null. Physical requirements: no disability required.
