What you’ll do Role purpose: This position entails providing comprehensive operational support for Mesa’s core systems and managing its digital channels throughout the entire process. It requires overseeing application performance, addressing user concerns, collaborating with development teams, and delivering a smooth mobile money experience to end users. Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Perform System Management (M-Pesa Core) Monitor the mobile app’s operational status and functionality on both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring consistent performance and accessibility for end users.
• Address and resolve user-reported issues, crashes, and bugs efficiently and promptly. Responsibilities include monitoring app analytics and crash reports through platforms such as Firebase or equivalent solutions to ensure performance optimization and issue resolution. Handle systems incidents, problems, and changes in collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including MPA.
• Perform and maintain the system security.
• Business Continuity Management
• Mini App Development, Implementation & Support
• Provide assistance across all initiatives within the Mesa ecosystem, including Mesa Africa (MPA) and localized projects.
• M-Pesa Product support Who you are Core competencies, knowledge and experience Operates across Unix, Linux (including RHEL and SUSE distributions), and Windows operating systems.
• Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, GaussDB, MYSQL)
• Mobile security best practices

Excellent communication skills

Proficient in Android and iOS platforms, mobile application frameworks, and API integrations. Must have technical/professional qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
