Responsibilities Operate Earle drilling machines to execute blast hole drilling in strict adherence to established mining protocols and technical specifications. Inspect drilling equipment at all stages—prior to, during, and following operation—to verify safe and efficient functionality. Accurately establish and position Earle drills to ensure efficient drilling operations. Identify and delineate drilling sites according to approved mine plans and directives from supervisory staff. Monitor drilling operations closely and modify drilling methods as necessary to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities include performing regular upkeep and servicing on drill bits, rods, hoses, and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Promptly report any equipment faults, breakdowns, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel. Assist with charging and blasting preparations, as well as perform other essential mining tasks as needed. Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations without exception. Maintain clean, hazard-free work areas at all times to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Prepare daily reports summarizing production activities and equipment inspections to ensure operational compliance and safety standards are consistently met.
• Achievement of drilling and production targets.

• Equipment uptime and proper maintenance.
• Quality and accuracy of drilled holes.

Incident and accident-free performance. Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or workplace safety concerns as they arise. Qualification requirements

Formation / Diplômes

• Certificate of Secondary Education.

Airleg drill operation skills. Certificate or training in Underground Mining Operations would be considered beneficial.

• Must hold a valid Tanzanian driving license, encompassing classes B, C, D, and E.

Expérience

• Equipment Operator licenses. Experience and competencies needed. Experienced professionals with a track record of operating Earle drills in mining operations are sought. With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in Mining or Construction Operations, you bring a strong foundation of industry knowledge and practical expertise to this role. Your background demonstrates a deep understanding of operational processes, safety protocols, and efficiency in demanding environments. This experience positions you well to contribute effectively to our team and deliver results in a dynamic industry setting.
• Airleg drill operation skills A strong understanding of drilling methodologies, mine safety protocols, and equipment upkeep procedures is required.
• Equipment inspection and basic maintenance skills. Demonstrated physical fitness and the capacity to operate effectively within confined underground spaces are required.
• Proficient understanding of relevant Standard Operating Procedures. Formal training certification is required for all equipment claimed to be operated, along with a solid understanding of safety systems and incident investigation procedures.
• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment. Proficient in workplace safety and health regulations and practices.
• Country of Origin Driving License.
• Proficiency in crane operations, lift planning, and calculations, along with conducting thorough soil inspections. Proficient in operating vehicles equipped with manual transmission, commonly referred to as stick shift.
