What you’ll do Role purpose: This role entails developing and implementing the technology strategy, encompassing budget planning and management, while spearheading digital transformation initiatives that align with the organization’s overarching goals. Key accountabilities and decision ownership Technology Strategy and Innovation

• Develop and refine the enterprise technology strategy, ensuring robust alignment with business goals, digital transformation initiatives, and long-term planning objectives. Our role involves converting technological innovation into tangible business benefits, such as enhanced operational efficiency, increased revenue potential, strengthened organizational resilience, and elevated customer experience.
• Uphold innovation initiatives in strict alignment with enterprise architecture, security protocols, regulatory mandates, and ethical guidelines, embedding “secure and ethics by design” principles throughout. Own the strategic vision for innovation and technology, crafting a comprehensive roadmap that aligns initiatives with business goals, rigorously prioritizes high-impact projects, and carefully balances investment decisions to maximize returns while eliminating redundancy across the technology ecosystem. AI Strategy and Delivery The individual will establish and implement the comprehensive AI strategy and roadmap for the enterprise, focusing on high-impact use cases that support key business goals, enhance customer experience, drive digital transformation, and adhere to approved investment frameworks. Establish a comprehensive AI governance framework to guarantee that all AI solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, data privacy regulations, cybersecurity protocols, legal mandates, ethical guidelines, and responsible AI principles. Lead the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from pilot phases to large-scale implementation, ensuring tangible value is achieved at every stage, while monitoring improvements in efficiency, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and risk mitigation, and refining the portfolio to maximize impact. Planning Accountable for overseeing Long Range Planning initiatives, ensuring alignment between budgetary allocations and signature programs with the organization’s short- and long-term strategic objectives. Oversee the strategic allocation and management of capital and operational expenditures to ensure optimal financial performance within the IT and Billing portfolio.

Customer and Stakeholder management People Management Develop internal capacities for innovation, cultivating essential skills, tools, and operational approaches that establish a culture centered on experimentation, growth, and sustained advancement. Encourage continuous professional and personal development by providing structured upskilling and deskilling programs, empowering individuals to expand their capabilities and advance their careers.

Performance Management Who you are Must have technical/professional qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Engineering—or in a related field—is required for this position. Requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable work setting. We seek candidates with hands-on experience in GSM and Mobile Money solutions, including their implementation and integration with other network components.

• Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with critical stakeholders throughout the value chain to ensure alignment and collaboration.

• Telecommunications experience would be advantageous.
