The role is situated within the Venn Department, under the direct supervision of the MEL Assistant or their designated representative. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required for consideration. This position is based in various locations, including Isingiro, Minimum, Avenge, Kibble, Kiryandongo, Kibble, Kyenjojo, Duende, Burden, Begird, Male, Guru, and Area. The role entails frequent travel, accounting for up to 70% of the position’s responsibilities. This is a temporary appointment, with a contract duration of six months. The VENN department serves as the foundational data and technology hub for our organization, seamlessly integrating advanced analytics, bespoke software solutions, and field implementation to facilitate informed decision-making across all levels. The Area Field Supervisor (AFS) acts as the essential intermediary between central MEL administration and on-the-ground operations. Positioned within the RTV technical engine of the Venn department, you will uphold the reliability of our data infrastructure. This position oversees the full spectrum of field data collection, guaranteeing that the data powering our poverty-reduction models remains precise, punctual, and budget-conscious. You will direct field crews, resolve technical challenges, and pioneer improved collection methodologies to support RTV’s objective of positively influencing 1 million lives each year. Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including managing daily operations to ensure seamless workflow, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor performance metrics to achieve key business objectives. Additionally, lead project management efforts, foster a culture of accountability, and mentor team members to enhance productivity and professional development. Ensures the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data through rigorous validation processes, adherence to established protocols, and systematic error detection to maintain high standards of data integrity. Implements and monitors quality control measures to verify that datasets meet predefined criteria, regulatory requirements, and organizational benchmarks. Identifies discrepancies, investigates root causes, and implements corrective actions to prevent future issues, thereby safeguarding the trustworthiness of critical information. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, improve data governance frameworks, and enhance overall data quality across systems and processes. Conduct comprehensive pre-release assessments of mobile data collection tools to validate the accuracy of logic and skip pattern functionality. Conduct real-time monitoring and perform spot checks on enumerators to mitigate bias and guarantee strict adherence to RTV’s established data protocols. Provide assistance with data quality assurance initiatives, such as conducting audio reviews and performing remote follow-ups for field activities that have been finalized.
Drive the adoption and strict adherence to data ethics and integrity standards throughout all regional field operations, ensuring consistent compliance and excellence.
