Duties and responsibilities The Cleaner will undertake cleaning and hygiene tasks throughout the school premises to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Essential duties involve performing a range of cleaning activities, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards, and supporting the overall upkeep of facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, as well as adhering to established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in furniture, equipment, rooms, and shared spaces such as hallways and dining areas. Ensure thorough cleaning and correct disinfection of toilets and kitchen facilities. Ensuring all equipment remains in optimal condition and is consistently maintained in a clean state. Assigned responsibilities may include additional tasks and projects as directed by the employer or their designated representative.

• Executing any tasks delegated by the work supervisor, regardless of timing, to ensure operational needs are met efficiently and effectively.

• Implementing measures to prevent the unnecessary discard or misuse of food utensils. Maintaining precise logs of cleaning equipment usage is essential for effective budget planning and resource allocation.

Responsible for timely completion and submission of cleaning forms to the school’s Chief Operations Officer. Applicant qualifications Applicants should meet the following qualifications: Applicants must possess prior experience in custodial or cleaning services specifically within educational institutions such as schools. Applicants are required to reside in proximity to The School of St Jude’s SISA Campus in Moshing, Arusha. Applicants must hold Tanzanian citizenship and be at least 28 years of age. We require strong interpersonal skills to greet individuals courteously and adhere to established operational protocols.
