Position: Maintenance Clerk
Location: Regional Offices (South and East)
Grade: HC 12
Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor / Regional Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Compile and process reports submitted by tenants, initiating job cards to initiate Tradesman interventions. Reconcile job cards and procure materials for different units within the department. Facilitate the ordering of materials requested by Tradesmen following their assessments. Generate and submit monthly time sheets and overtime forms for all temporary staff. Conduct on-site inspections of completed Tradesman work to ensure compliance before handover or payment processing. Draft maintenance-related documentation and maintain organized filing systems for all section records. Prepare and submit routine reports as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a City and Guilds Grade 1 Certificate, or a diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
Required Experience:
At least two years of relevant professional experience in a maintenance or administrative capacity.
Essential Competencies:
Comprehensive understanding of maintenance operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Clear and confident communication, along with sound decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
