Position: Land Surveyor Location: Regional Office (North), Mzuzu Grade: HC 7 Reporting Line: Regional Manager (North) Core Responsibilities: – Oversee the computation of cadastral survey data. – Execute comprehensive land surveys—including cadastral and topographic—across the region for MHC and external clients. – Address land survey requests and resolve boundary disputes promptly. – Develop and manage budgets for the survey section. – Collaborate with the Estates Management Section to address encroachment issues on MHC-owned land. – Maintain and manage survey equipment. – Submit regular progress reports on regional land survey activities. – Delegate tasks and evaluate staff performance. Minimum Qualifications: – Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Surveying. – Mandatory registration with the Surveyors Institute of Malawi or another recognized professional body. Required Experience: – At least two years of professional experience in land surveying. Essential Competencies: – Proficiency in all survey methods and operations. – Strong leadership, planning, and organizational abilities. – Computer literacy. – Self-motivation, resilience, and the capacity to work extended hours in challenging conditions. – Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
