The Chief of Mission (CoM) at IOM will oversee and provide policy, administrative, program, and financial support to the Country Office. This role involves strategic country program development, project oversight, and engagement with UN inter-agency processes. The CoM will advocate for effective migration policies and ensure the successful execution of operational programs. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and resource management skills to enhance IOM's impact on migration management. Master’s degree in relevant field or University degree with additional experience Ten years of relevant professional experience or twelve years with a University degree Significant experience in general management and project management Experience in diplomacy, fundraising, and public relations Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of another UN language Excellent communication and negotiation skills Knowledge of migration-related subjects and UN programming Effective resource management and financial administration skills
