Non-Key Experts – Call for Expressions of Interest

Description About the assignment Reference: EC-MENA/2026/RP/0008 – “Communication outreach and engagement on EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf” (restricted procedure). Contracting authority: European Commission, Directorate-General for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf (DG MENA). The contract provides content and logistical support to DG MENA’s day-to-day communication: campaigns and social media content, events, and media relations, targeting audiences in both the EU and the wider region. Working language: English (occasionally French and Arabic). Duration: up to 36 months. What we are looking for

To deliver the three components of this contract, we are building a pool of non-key experts who can be mobilized quickly (sometimes at short notice) for part or the entire duration of the contract. We welcome expressions of interest from professionals with one or more of the following profiles:

• Translator / interpreter (incl. French and Arabic) What we expect
• Solid, demonstrable experience in the relevant profile, ideally with EU institutions and/or in the North Africa, Middle East and Gulf region.
• Strong working knowledge of English; French and/or Arabic are a strong asset for several profiles.
• Independence and freedom from any conflict of interest in the responsibilities to be taken on.
• Availability to work flexibly and respond to fast-paced, short-notice requests. Selected experts will be subject to a transparent selection process based on pre-defined criteria (professional qualifications, language skills and work experience) and to approval by the contracting authority before starting their tasks.
