The Chief of Mission (CoM) at IOM will oversee and provide policy, administrative, program, and financial support to the Country Office. This role involves strategic country program development, project oversight, and engagement with UN inter-agency processes. The CoM will advocate for effective migration policies and manage resources while ensuring high-quality performance of migration-related projects. The position requires significant experience in management, diplomacy, and fundraising within complex migration contexts. Master’s degree in relevant field or University degree with additional experience Ten years of relevant professional experience or twelve years with a university degree Significant experience in general management and project management Experience in diplomacy, fundraising, and public relations Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong liaison and negotiation skills In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming Effective resources management skills Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
