Position: Mechanics (Heavy Commercial & Fleet) Location: Kitwe, Copperbelt, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time A reputable logistics company in Kitwe is seeking skilled and proactive Mechanics to handle fleet maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy commercial trucks and earthmoving plant equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on heavy haulage trucks, trailers, and plant machinery. Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic techniques. Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, braking systems, and suspensions. Respond to emergency roadside breakdowns and conduct rapid on-site repairs. Maintain clean, safe workshop conditions and complete job cards accurately. Requirements: Minimum Grade 12 Certificate. Craft Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Mechanics / Heavy Duty Mechanics (TEVETA-recognized). Proven hands-on experience maintaining heavy commercial trucks (e.g., Shacman, Howo, Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz). Reliable, disciplined, and willing to work in Kitwe.
