Wouri Digital Finance SA is seeking an experienced Chief Finance Officer to lead the organization’s financial strategy and operations. This is a senior executive role responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support the company’s growth across its digital financial services business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across the organization Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, executive team, and board of directors Manage liquidity, treasury functions, and working capital to support transaction volumes and operational needs
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, central bank and licensing requirements, tax obligations, and corporate governance standards Work closely with compliance teams on anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime controls Lead cost control and unit economics analysis across products and digital channels Oversee risk management strategies, including financial, credit, operational, and currency/foreign exchange risk Manage relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, investors, and other financial stakeholders Lead and develop the finance team, including accounting, treasury, and financial planning functions Evaluate and support fundraising, partnership, merger, acquisition, and investment opportunities where applicable Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the board and senior leadership Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems, payment reconciliation tools, and ERP platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred) Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
Expérience
Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or similar) Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or payments is a strong advantage Strong knowledge of financial strategy, corporate finance, regulatory reporting, and risk management Proven track record of managing budgets, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance at a senior level Experience with ERP and financial management systems
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills Fluent in English; knowledge of French and local languages is an advantage Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly regulated technology environment
