The Nutrition Specialist will be stationed at the UNICEF Field Office in Ambovombe, operating under a matrix management structure with dual reporting lines to the Nutrition Chief and the Chief of Field Office Ambovombe. Beyond overseeing the nutrition program in the designated area, the incumbent will coordinate nutrition interventions across the three regions of the Grand SUD (Andrey, Nosy, and Asimov-Andrefana), providing technical leadership and oversight to sub-national nutrition stakeholders and partners. The role entails supporting the development and preparation of nutrition programs, as well as managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on progress within the country program. The Nutrition Specialist will offer technical guidance and management support throughout programming, ensuring alignment with strategic plans, result-based management methodologies, and UNICEF’s accountability frameworks to achieve sustainable outcomes in maternal, infant, and child nutrition initiatives. Key Functions and Accountabilities:
- Supporting program development and strategic planning
- Managing and delivering program results
- Providing technical and operational support for implementation
- Building networks and fostering partnerships
- Driving innovation, knowledge management, and capacity-building efforts

- To qualify as an advocate for every child, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Formation / DiplĂ´mes
- Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics, public health, global health, international nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, health sciences, or a related field.
Expérience
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in nutrition, public health, Secteur : Research, Science, and Health Care Provider
