The Nutrition Specialist will be based at the UNICEF Field Office in Ambovombe, reporting to both the Nutrition Chief and the Chief of Field Office Ambovombe. Reporting through a matrix management structure, the role involves overseeing the nutrition program in the designated area while coordinating interventions across the Grand SUD regions—Andrey, Nosy, and Asimov-Andrefana. Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership to sub-national nutrition stakeholders, guiding program development, managing implementation, monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring robust reporting. The specialist will offer expert guidance and operational support throughout the programming cycle to deliver tangible, sustainable results in maternal, infant, and child nutrition initiatives. This work aligns with strategic plans, results-based management frameworks, UNICEF standards, and accountability mechanisms. Key Functions and Accountabilities:

- Managing programs and delivering measurable results
- Providing technical and operational support for program implementation
- Building networks and fostering partnerships
- Promoting innovation, knowledge sharing, and capacity building

- To qualify as an advocate for every child, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Formation / DiplĂ´mes
Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics, public health, nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, global health, international health, global or international nutrition, health research, nutrition policy and management, health sciences, or related fields is required.
Expérience
Work Experience: A minimum of five years of progressive professional experience in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant, and child health Secteur : Research, Science, and Health Care Provider
