Human Capital Outsourcing Limited, a trusted HR consultancy firm since 2017, is recruiting on behalf of its client a highly skilled, creative, and hands-on Head Chef to lead kitchen and food production operations across its fast-food restaurant business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistent food quality, taste, presentation, speed of service, food safety, kitchen efficiency, cost control, menu development, and staff performance. The role is suited to an experienced fast-food or quick-service restaurant professional with strong experience in high-volume chicken preparation and standardized food production, preferably from a business model similar to major quick-service chicken restaurant brands. Responsibilities
Lead all daily kitchen and food production operations. Ensure consistent taste, quality, and product presentation. Develop and enforce standardized recipes and cooking procedures. Oversee preparation of chicken and other menu products. Ensure fast and efficient order turnaround times. Maintain strict portion control and product consistency. Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Develop kitchen duty rosters and work schedules. Monitor staff productivity and kitchen discipline. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation. Implement proper food storage and stock rotation procedures. Monitor food inventory and prepare stock requisitions. Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations. Control food costs and minimize wastage. Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance needs. Develop and test new menu items and product innovations. Handle food quality complaints and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company recipes and operating procedures. Prepare daily production and kitchen performance reports. Support new outlet openings and kitchen setup where required. Implement systems to ensure consistent products across outlets. Work closely with management to improve profitability and operations. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Profile
Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality, or related field. Minimum five years' experience in a busy restaurant or fast-food environment. At least two years' experience in a supervisory or Head Chef role. Strong experience in chicken preparation and quick-service operations. Experience in high-volume food production is highly preferred. Experience implementing standardized recipes and kitchen procedures. Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
