Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in a local language is highly desirable. The district is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to oversee development initiatives, enhance service delivery, and foster sustainable growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating multi-sectoral projects, managing community engagements, and ensuring alignment with national development goals. Applicants must possess a relevant degree in development studies, public administration, or a related field, along with at least five years of progressive experience in project management or local governance. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, and proficiency in local languages is an added advantage. Frequent travel is a requirement for this position. Proficient in the following languages: English, Spanish, and French. Male: Proficiency in Luis or Lualaba is required, with competence in Luganda considered advantageous. Bukedea: Ateso Nora requires candidates fluent in Ates, with proven experience in community engagement and development initiatives. Bugiri: Lusoga (Other languages – Japh, Samia) Kapchorwa: Proficiency in Kupsabiny is essential, with additional fluency in Luis or Lualaba considered advantageous. Each week, prepare and submit field reports, while assisting in the dissemination of information to support donor reporting and proposal development as needed. Attend and engage in weekly staff and cluster team meetings to share updates, address challenges, and define actionable next steps collaboratively. Compile and submit weekly financial reports and related documentation to the Project Manager, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established accountability standards. Capture images and upload them to a centralized data repository for storage and analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure effective tracking of project progress and outcomes.
