Haggai Mining (U) Ltd (WGG) is actively seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position with Mine Engineer at its operations in Duende, Uganda. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Surveying, or a closely related field, and must demonstrate at least five years of hands-on experience in mining engineering, preferably within gold mining operations. Proficiency in mine planning, geotechnical engineering, and risk assessment is essential, along with a thorough understanding of mining software and regulatory compliance standards. In response to evolving production demands, WGG is currently seeking applications from highly qualified professionals for the following critical technical roles. Job Summary Conducts mineral processing tests to generate data that facilitates process optimization. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of tasks to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Responsible for delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to team members as needed. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal guidelines throughout all operational activities. Provide assistance to mineral processing engineers engaged in experimental research initiatives. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy, following established protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration, alongside at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in project management software, including Microsoft Project or Asana, is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is required, and candidates should demonstrate excellent communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams. A degree or diploma in mineral processing or chemistry, or an equivalent qualification, is required. With a minimum of one year and up to three years of hands-on experience in flotation, magnetic, or gravity separation testing methodologies. Proficient in reagent protocols and formulations, with a strong understanding of their applications and interactions in experimental settings. Skilled in operating laboratory-scale crushing, grinding, and flotation equipment. Maintains a high level of awareness regarding chemical safety protocols and procedures.
