Key responsibilities include:
Performing fire assay, atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analyses. Preparing samples and standards, maintaining analytical instruments, and ensuring analytical accuracy and quality control. Preparing and delivering detailed assay reports to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established protocols.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, along with at least two years of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory setting. Proficiency in data interpretation, report generation, and quality control procedures is essential, as are strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize assay methods may also be required.
Requirements include a Diploma or higher qualification in chemistry or analytical chemistry, and a valid assay analysis qualification. Proficiency in fire assay, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) techniques is required. Experience in conducting comprehensive multi-element analysis, demonstrating proficiency across a range of analytical techniques and methodologies to assess complex chemical compositions, is also necessary.
