A CCTV Operator role, with a probationary period of six months, is available in Kampala, Uganda. This position does not involve direct reports. The successful candidate will report to the IT Lead or Channel Lead and will have budget-related responsibilities. The CCTV Operator oversees the surveillance and operation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and associated equipment to safeguard the organization’s facilities, assets, employees, and guests. This role involves identifying and documenting any irregularities, security breaches, or equipment failures, promptly notifying the relevant authorities, and meticulously logging all incidents for review and accountability. Oversee and execute primary duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align resources, streamline processes, and foster innovation while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and achieve key performance indicators. Act as a liaison between senior management and staff, ensuring clear communication, addressing concerns, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position encompasses several primary areas of accountability, outlined as follows:

Conduct continuous observation of real-time and archived CCTV footage to identify any irregular or unauthorized actions. Operate and manage CCTV systems in strict adherence to organizational procedures, regulatory standards, and legal obligations. Respond without delay to alarms, incidents, or emergencies in strict accordance with established protocols. Collaborate effectively with security staff, management, and emergency responders whenever required. Responsibilities include meticulously documenting all observations, incidents, and actions taken in precise and up-to-date logs and records. Consistently monitor CCTV systems to detect and document any malfunctions or technical irregularities in a timely manner. Guarantee the safeguarding and confidentiality of every recording and piece of information handled. Provide pertinent video evidence and detailed reports to support ongoing investigations. Other responsibilities may include completing additional tasks as deemed necessary by management.
