Job Description Responsibilities include providing product management support across multiple segments, as well as coordinating and overseeing insurance arrangements tied to bank-owned assets and interests. The role ensures optimal placement of coverage, robust risk management, and prompt claim settlement by brokers and insurers. The position entails cultivating and overseeing partnerships with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders integral to the bank’s insurance operations. ZAQA verified Certificates Perform comprehensive risk assessments and evaluations to ensure comprehensive protection of the bank’s assets and interests. Maintain current and valid Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with brokers, insurers, and other relevant service providers. Develop and implement a comprehensive performance management system to oversee brokers, insurers, assessors, and other service providers, ensuring strict adherence to mutually agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policy terms, and contractual obligations. Serve as the primary liaison and escalation authority, facilitating seamless communication and coordination among the bank, brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders regarding all bank insurance-related processes. Monitor claims processing times, evaluate service quality, and assess responsiveness, with a focus on identifying and addressing delays and service gaps proactively. Oversee claims status registers and management information to guarantee accuracy, visibility, and accountability. Handle any instances of non-performance, delays, unresolved claims, or repudiations in strict accordance with established bank guidelines. Evaluate and mitigate potential financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks to the Bank that may emerge from claims trends, delays, repudiation, or insurer non-performance. Prepare and submit risk reports to management in a timely manner, emphasizing material claims-related exposures and proposing appropriate mitigation strategies. Compile and deliver periodic reports on claims performance metrics, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and risk exposures to senior leadership for review and strategic decision-making. Collaborate across branches, asset finance, facilities, security, finance, and risk teams to ensure robust claim oversight and efficient resolution processes. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders throughout the bank to uphold and safeguard institutional assets and interests in alignment with established control frameworks. Offer expert counsel, deliver instructional sessions, and enhance awareness among internal stakeholders regarding claims escalation protocols, service level agreement benchmarks, and associated risk impacts. Execute a variety of additional responsibilities as deemed necessary, which may encompass providing assistance to bancassurance operations, participating in bank-led projects, and contributing to other strategic initiatives. Assist in the comprehensive product development lifecycle, encompassing every phase from initial conceptualization through to market introduction. Conduct a thorough assessment of product submissions to verify that the products, associated processes, and accompanying materials fully adhere to the established product governance standards. This involves a meticulous review to confirm compliance with all relevant regulatory and internal requirements. Establish and maintain rigorous project management frameworks to guarantee that insurance partners fulfill their contractual obligations and performance benchmarks. Collaborate with insurance providers to address multifaceted issues affecting product performance and market competitiveness. Craft monthly product updates and escalate challenges to senior stakeholders for review and action. Collaborate directly with insurers to finalize product specifications. Conduct comprehensive product analysis in collaboration with Insurance Consultants, overseeing the sales management process. Driving innovation within product outcomes and executing pertinent product research from the core responsibilities of this role. Support the annual product planning process by developing strategic product plans and roadmaps tailored to each business segment. This involves engaging with partners to shape product designs that align more closely with bancassurance requirements. We utilize our extensive industry connections to deliver strategic analysis on competitive landscapes, product dynamics, and distribution channels. Leverage the bank’s data models to conduct comprehensive product analysis, focusing on product mix and profitability assessment.
