JOB SUMMARY The NRM Coordinator will oversee initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable management and conservation of natural resources, while advancing climate action efforts, environmental peace building, and community engagement. Coordinate activities related to natural-resource management within community-based initiatives. Provide assistance in implementing and maintaining sustainable practices for land, water, forest, and other natural resource management. Promote community engagement and education initiatives focused on environmental conservation and the impacts of climate change. Facilitate environmental peace building efforts in regions grappling with conflicts stemming from natural resource disputes. Collaborate with communities and local governing bodies to tackle environmental issues effectively. Facilitate initiatives aimed at bolstering climate adaptation and enhancing resilience against environmental challenges. Facilitate environmental evaluations and engage with community stakeholders as needed to ensure compliance and gather input. The position involves assisting in the creation and execution of Natural Resource Management (NRM) action plans. Document environmental challenges encountered, key learnings derived from these experiences, and effective practices observed or implemented. Monitor program activities and compile periodic progress reports to track performance and outcomes. To advance women’s involvement in the stewardship of natural resources and the formulation of environmental policies, this position will actively encourage and facilitate their participation.
