AL-BALAKAH CHARITY TRUST – (Proprietor of Mama Khadija Girls Private Academy) invites applications from suitably qualified Malawian nationals for the post tenable at Mama Khadija Private Academy in Namwera – Mangochi. The post to be filled is a School Boarding Master/Mistress:

Responsabilités
Demonstrate dedication to work and efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with duties assigned. Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Dedicated to produce impressive report at the end of each and every term. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Not exhaustive Supervise the day-to-day operations of the school kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the kitchen area. Supervise kitchen, catering, and boarding support staff, allocate duties, and monitor performance and discipline. Oversee the preparation and timely serving of safe, nutritious, and balanced meals to boarding students and staff. Ensure high standards of food hygiene, personal cleanliness, sanitation, and general health and safety. Manage food stocks, kitchen supplies, portion control, proper storage, stock rotation, and minimisation of food wastage. Assist with menu planning as per school requirement. Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and well-managed boarding environment. Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, care, and welfare support to boarding students. Promote discipline, good behaviour, personal responsibility, and a positive boarding-school environment. Maintain accurate records relating to meals, food stocks, boarding attendance, student welfare, incidents, and other relevant activities. Ensure kitchen equipment, boarding facilities, furniture, and other resources are properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
Ensure compliance with school policies, health and safety requirements, food hygiene standards, and boarding regulations. Report shortages, maintenance issues, disciplinary concerns, health and safety risks, and other operational matters promptly to management.
Formation / DiplĂ´mes
EDUCATION AND WORK QUALIFICATION
A minimum of Malawi Schools Certificate of Education (MSCE). Sound knowledge of Islamic teachings and a commitment to nurturing students according to Islamic values.
Expérience
Previous experience in boarding school management, student welfare, or a similar role is an added advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. High standards of integrity, patience, compassion, and professionalism. Ability to serve as a positive role model for Muslim girls. Willingness to reside outside the school premises.
