About the Role Toga Contractors Ltd. is in search of a highly proficient, dependable, and safety-focused individual to join our team. Tipper Driver You will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tipper trucks to safely transport earthworks, sand, gravel, stone, and other construction materials to and from designated project sites. Key Responsibilities Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate heavy-duty tipper trucks, transporting materials between quarries, construction sites, and stockpiles while adhering strictly to road safety regulations. Material Offloading & Tipping: Responsible for safely managing the hydraulic tipping mechanisms of the tipper to ensure smooth and precise unloading of construction materials. Pre & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-operational vehicle inspections each day to verify proper tire pressure, oil levels, hydraulic fluids, brake functionality, and lighting systems. Load Management: Maintain compliance with legal weight restrictions, verify proper load balance, and secure cargo to mitigate risks of spillage or road hazards. Basic Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of the truck while conducting minor routine inspections, and promptly report any mechanical defects to the fleet supervisor. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily trip sheets, delivery documentation, and fuel logs in accordance with logistics management requirements. Qualifications & Requirements Driver’s License: A valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License in the Class [specify class, e.g., “C” or “D”] category is required for this position. C / CE ). Experience: Professional Version: A minimum of two to three years of documented experience in operating heavy-duty tipper trucks within construction, mining, or civil engineering environments is required. Documentation: A valid National Registration Card (NRC) or equivalent National Identification Document is required. Skills: Possesses a solid grasp of mechanical principles, demonstrates proficiency in navigating job sites efficiently, and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of heavy vehicle road safety protocols. Attributes: Reliable, trustworthy, and in good physical condition, with the capability to maintain flexible working hours or accommodate weekend shifts as needed.
