This is an opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art landmark project in Rwanda. Mace have been delivering PMC services on major aviation projects for several years, increasing passenger capacity and improving overall services.
Vous serez responsable de
Act as the technical authority for all BHS and cargo handling systems from design stage through to operational handover. Review and approve BHS/cargo design submissions, including system design reports, equipment specifications, and layout drawings against IATA Level of Service standards. Manage the BHS procurement strategy and process; evaluate supplier bids and provide technical award recommendation. Oversee BHS installation works, managing interfaces with civil, MEP, and special systems contractors to ensure coordinated delivery. Develop and manage the BHS commissioning programme, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated operational testing. Coordinate with the airport operator on operational requirements, staffing interfaces, and pre-opening readiness. Interface with airline representatives and ground handling agents during testing and commissioning phases. Maintain BHS risk register and manage technical risks to close-out. Manage handover documentation including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, maintenance contracts, and operator training programmes.
Vous devez avoir
Minimum 15 years’ experience in airport projects with specific BHS and/or cargo handling system delivery experience. Deep technical knowledge of BHS systems: tilt-tray, belt conveyors, destination-coded vehicles, HBS/EDS integration, SCADA/BHS controls. Familiarity with IATA standards (AHM, IGOM), ICAO requirements, and TSA/EU aviation security regulations. Strong interface management skills; able to coordinate multiple contractors and the airport operator simultaneously. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering; professional membership preferred. Experience in Africa or developing markets advantageous; fluency in English essential.
