Director of Product Development & Business Performance
Business Performance Management (30%) Lead comprehensive performance management initiatives for the Retail Banking division, overseeing key financial metrics such as asset and liability performance, non-funded income streams, customer acquisition strategies, and portfolio quality assessments. Create and oversee retail key performance indicators, scorecards, dashboards, and executive management reports for review by senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Track financial and strategic performance in alignment with the budget, STP, and key initiatives, promptly identifying discrepancies and collaborating with business owners to implement corrective measures. Collaborate with Branch Banking, Digital Banking, and Sales teams to enhance productivity, stimulate customer activation, and accelerate retail customer growth. Interpret data analytics to deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize resource distribution.
Product Development & Management (25%) Spearhead the design, development, review, and enhancement of retail banking products, encompassing deposits, lending, payments, cards, agency banking, and digital solutions. To guarantee that product offerings are centered on customer needs, competitively positioned, financially viable, and in sync with evolving market trends and demands. Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, overseeing all phases from initial concept development and pricing strategy through regulatory approval, market launch, performance monitoring, and post-launch review to eventual product exit. Facilitate the product approval process by engaging with internal governance entities, such as risk management, compliance, legal, finance, and ALSO as needed. Spearhead the innovation and digital transformation of retail offerings to enhance both customer experience and operational effectiveness.
Financial & Commercial Oversight (25%) Oversee pricing strategies, cost management, and revenue optimization efforts to drive profitability and cost efficiency for retail products and initiatives. To ensure revenue, margin, and cost targets are met, this role involves continuously tracking product and business performance. Provide assistance in the development and management of budgeting, forecasting, and business planning initiatives specifically for the Retail Banking sector.
