About the Role Thematic Focal Points within the DELIVER unit spearhead advocacy initiatives in their designated domains, orchestrating cohesive positions, interventions, and campaigns. Serving as pivotal liaisons among youth constituencies, the THINK unit’s research findings, and external stakeholders, they ensure policy engagement is strategically impactful, equitable, and grounded in empirical evidence. Reporting directly to the Director of Advocacy & Campaigns, they play a central role in advancing the unit’s objectives. A fully remote volunteer role is available in the thematic domain of education, focusing on advancing inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for migrant and refugee children and youth. The position underscores education as a transformative pathway toward empowerment, social integration, and peace building. Successful candidates are expected to dedicate 5 to 7 hours weekly to this commitment. Oversee and execute a range of critical duties essential to the role, including managing day-to-day operations, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Monitor progress through detailed reporting and analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster communication, resolve challenges, and drive cohesive project outcomes. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while upholding high standards of quality and accountability. • Develop and implement advocacy strategies and initiatives tailored to the designated thematic focus, producing policy briefs, strategic interventions, and key messaging frameworks for high-level discussions while representing MCP and amplifying youth perspectives in external forums and engagements. We will partner with Research Leads in the THINK unit to develop and implement advocacy strategies grounded in evidence, creating frameworks that enhance youth and constituency engagement by working closely with the ENGAGE unit. Additionally, we will contribute strategic inputs to MCP programming initiatives within the Secretariat, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives. Develop and execute communications strategies and campaigns tailored to your specific thematic area, collaborating closely with fellow Thematic Focal Points and supporting Officers to address shared priorities across initiatives. Develop strategic partnerships with pivotal governmental bodies, United Nations entities, non-governmental organizations, and youth networks within your designated thematic focus, in close collaboration with the MCP International Representatives.
