Promoting Equality in Africa (PEAS) is seeking to fill two Head Teacher positions at Along PEAS High School and Kira View Secondary School. These roles are ideal for experienced educational leaders who are passionate about advancing quality education in underserved communities.

As a Head Teacher, you will provide visionary, energetic, and motivational leadership to ensure the school meets its established educational goals. You will be responsible for strategic direction and expert administration, fostering the school's success and continuous improvement. By upholding exceptional educational standards and tailored learning experiences, you will champion academic excellence and elevate performance across all aspects of the school's operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting proactive outreach initiatives to engage potential partners, clients, or stakeholders, ensuring meaningful connections are established and nurtured. This involves diligent identification of prospects through targeted research and strategic networking, followed by personalized communication to convey the value proposition effectively. Maintaining robust relationships through consistent follow-ups and timely responses is essential to fostering long-term collaborations and achieving organizational objectives.

Collaborating closely with the Senior School Support Officer (SSO) to design and implement outreach strategies aimed at enhancing student enrollment and boosting overall student populations within PEAS-affiliated schools. Formulating and executing strategic initiatives designed to advance PEAS School's mission, engaging both internal stakeholders and the broader community.

Holding a degree in Education Management or a related field, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in overseeing academic programs, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and optimizing institutional performance. The role requires strong leadership skills to coordinate faculty and administrative staff, implement strategic initiatives, and evaluate program effectiveness. Additionally, experience in budget management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement is essential to foster a productive learning environment.

To establish and uphold elevated performance standards for PEAS students while fostering an environment where teachers excel through effective and innovative practices. Foster a supportive and trusting environment among PEAS staff, establish a culture of mutual respect in all dealings with students, and remain open to adapting practices in response to evolving insights.

Collaborates with the School Site Safety Officer (SSO) to implement and maintain a school framework that encourages inclusive decision-making processes, facilitates effective delegation, and fosters distributive leadership. Facilitates collaborative learning among staff, fostering an environment where knowledge sharing and mutual growth are prioritized, while also exemplifying a commitment to ongoing professional development through personal practice.

Assumes accountability for the completion of all Education Targets and the accurate submission of SIP reports to the SSO. Conduct performance management and evaluations for teaching staff, ensuring all required processes established by PEAS schools are completed thoroughly and punctually. Regularly conduct structured lesson observations to evaluate the instructional performance of teaching staff. Ensure the seamless onboarding of new employees by overseeing and managing their induction program from start to finish.

Serve as the main liaison for Does and UNB while collaborating with the SSO to engage the Board of Governors and PTA, ensuring decisions align with the best interests of the students. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to take charge of our team and drive organizational success through strategic direction and team empowerment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and cultivating a culture of innovation and accountability. Responsibilities include setting clear goals, mentoring team members, and ensuring alignment with company objectives while maintaining a focus on results and continuous improvement.

Driving teachers to meet collectively established objectives and performance benchmarks. The role involves overseeing compliance with all relevant government regulations governing school operations to ensure full adherence to legal requirements. The position requires oversight of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting ensuring organizational fiscal health. Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and expertise in regulatory compliance. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA), is required. Prior experience in a similar role within the finance sector is essential.

Collaboratively responsible for overseeing and managing both the school budget and the expenditure budget alongside the SSO. Collaborates with the SSO to co-sign all school accounts. Responsible for preparing and managing all financial reports and data related to school management, as directed periodically by the SSO. Collates and prioritizes the resource requirements of the department.

The position requires overseeing organizational policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing risk mitigation strategies. Key responsibilities include developing governance frameworks, facilitating board and committee meetings, and implementing best practices to enhance transparency and accountability. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, along with expertise in regulatory requirements and corporate governance principles. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to align governance initiatives with strategic business objectives.

Collaborates with the PEAS National office, the Board of Governors, the Parents-Teachers Association, and the SSO to formulate and execute strategies aimed at achieving ambitious school objectives. Assists the Senior Student Support Officer (SSO) in identifying and evaluating prospective additions to both teaching and non-teaching staff through thorough research and strategic recommendations.

Collaborate effectively within the Network to enhance its operational efficiency and strategic objectives, ensuring seamless integration of efforts with cross-functional teams to drive collective success and innovation. Participate actively in meetings, discussions, and initiatives to support the Network's mission, while leveraging your expertise to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to align goals and facilitate smooth collaboration across departments. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to evolving network demands and industry trends.

Develops new connections with external partners while strengthening existing relationships to advocate for the PEAS schools model experience. Facilitates the integration and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they are thoroughly acquainted with PEAS's ethical guidelines and organizational culture. Provides early leadership development opportunities for school management teams, actively taking the lead to disseminate valuable learnings and best practices to new PEAS school management teams.

Proven track record in the relevant field, complemented by a robust set of qualifications, is essential for this role.
