- Serve as the Lead for Electrical Control and Instrumentation, overseeing all aspects of the department’s operations.

Your responsibilities will encompass, though not be strictly limited to, the following areas: Perform routine examinations of Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, and Communications installations in all designated project zones on a daily basis. Ensure every construction task complies strictly with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality plans, and applicable industry standards. Ensure contractor workmanship and construction quality adhere to specified project standards and requirements. Identify, document, and communicate any installation deficiencies, non-conformances, deviations, or quality concerns observed during inspections or evaluations. Implement and verify all corrective actions are completed before final work acceptance. Ensure proper installation of cable systems, terminations, glands, earthing configurations, containment structures, instrumentation, control panels, substations, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and all related equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of trenching operations, cable routing, cable pulling procedures, cable support systems, and adherence to cable segregation requirements. Confirm instrument installations by ensuring proper mounting, impulse tubing connections, cable terminations, junction box configurations, and adherence to field instrumentation standards. Oversee construction operations involving high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems. Verify adherence to established Inspection and Test Plans (Its), Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and all relevant construction specifications. Engage in on-site assessments, including construction walk downs, punch list generation, pre-commissioning inspections, and commissioning readiness evaluations. Identify potential latent defects and commissioning risks prior to system energization. Review contractor quality records to confirm that all required inspection documentation has been properly completed. Facilitate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and commissioning activities as needed. Maintain comprehensive site inspection documentation and produce periodic quality and progress reports. Facilitate the project handover process by verifying the thoroughness and accuracy of all turnover documentation. Foster a robust culture of quality excellence throughout all project execution teams. To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must fulfill the following criteria: Grade 12 School Certificate. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline; possession of a Degree would be considered advantageous. Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) construction, specifically within mining, industrial, processing, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure projects, is required. Mining industry experience, encompassing both Greenfield and brownfield capital projects, is essential. EIZ membership Proficiency in high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) systems, encompassing substations, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and instrumentation, is essential. Extensive hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of ABB and Siemens medium-voltage (MV) switchgear, as well as MV and low-voltage (LV) variable speed drives (VSDs). Seasoned professionals with hands-on involvement in Siemens PCS 7 Distributed Control Systems (DCS) hardware, input/configurations, marshalling processes, and network infrastructure—featuring industrial Ethernet and fiber optic technologies—are sought. Proficient in analyzing and interpreting PIDs, single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, cable schedules, termination drawings, and associated specifications.
