Located within the Lake Victoria Goldfields in Northwestern Tanzania, the mine lies approximately 85 kilometers from Mwanza City and 20 kilometers southeast of the nearest shoreline of Lake Victoria. POSITION Tradesperson 1 – Auto Electrical DEPARTMENT Asset Management & Engineering LOCATION Geita Gold Mine Tanzania EMPLOYMENT STATUS Full Time OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE Conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs on mining machinery, focusing on scheduled maintenance activities while reducing unexpected failures by conducting thorough daily inspections and documenting defects precisely for improved maintenance scheduling. Ensure adherence to safety protocols at all stages—before, during, and after task completion—while actively engaging in planning to support effective scheduling. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Work collaboratively within the team to perform comprehensive maintenance inspections during scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and daily checks, following the established work packages. Conduct thorough and efficient inspections while accurately recording defects to prioritize planned work over emergency tasks. Perform comprehensive CCV inspections consistently to uphold and enforce stringent safety protocols across all operations. Ensure consistent adherence to high-quality standards throughout daily operational tasks and activities.

• Demonstrate self-motivation and discipline. Foster team cohesion by mitigating potential conflicts and actively contributing to a productive, cooperative work environment. Ensure all equipment repairs adhere strictly to the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) specifications and guidelines. Consistently uphold the company’s core values of Safety, Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, Excellence, and Collaboration through all actions and decisions. Maintain transparent and open communication with team members and other departments across GGM. Collaborate closely with the execution team to contribute to detailed planning efforts, ensuring meticulous and accurate work completion. Ensure all assigned tasks are completed and delivered punctually, strictly adhering to established deadlines. Consistently uphold and enforce high standards of cleanliness and organization in all work areas and facilities. Diligently complete all delegated assignments within the established deadlines.

Enhance cost efficiency by employing systematic methodologies to identify and resolve faults, thereby eliminating trial-and-error practices. Ensure the production team has reliable access to all necessary equipment, maintaining its availability to sustain continuous operations while preventing the reoccurrence of any previously identified faults. Priorities are determined by aligning tasks with current production requirements and demand levels to ensure optimal efficiency and output.

Responsabilités

• Respond promptly to breakdowns. Duties include compiling detailed daily reports and ensuring thorough handover communications to the incoming shift supervisor. Must demonstrate initiative in addressing field breakdowns independently and promptly. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Education & Qualification
• Diploma in Auto-Electrical Engineering.
• Full Technician Course in Electrical Engineering. A relevant qualification such as a degree or advanced diploma in auto-electrical engineering is required.

Formation / Diplômes

• Holds a Grade 1 Certified Trade Test or Trade Test Level Three certification in Auto-Electrical Engineering from the Vocational Education and Training Authority (BETA).

Relevant certification from an accredited institute/college/university. Experience Seeking candidates with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience servicing or operating Heavy Mining Equipment (HE). Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in auto-electrical engineering works. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues using electronic diagnostic tools specifically for Home Medical Equipment (HE).
• Computer literacy. Possesses a thorough understanding of safety principles and practices, with the ability to effectively recognize potential hazards and assess associated risks. Delivers measurable value to the organization through high-quality contributions that align with business objectives.
