Job Summary The individual will oversee the recruitment and management of borrowing customers within the Micro-SME segment, specifically targeting UA NASA, Agriculture, and Maria sectors, while ensuring the expansion of a high-quality loan portfolio in strict adherence to the Bank’s Credit Policy and Product Procedure Manuals. Job Description Key Accountabilities Growth of quality loan portfolio
- Responsible for the seamless onboarding of eligible borrowing customers in strict accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Product Procedure Manuals. Follow up on sales pipelines and leads to verify they reach maturity within the agreed-upon turnaround time.
- Develop and cultivate lending opportunities by actively engaging with both current and prospective clients to explore and finalize business agreements. Facilitates meaningful interactions with both external and internal business stakeholders to ensure the Bank’s interests are accurately represented and effectively protected. Credit underwriting functions Evaluate and process credit applications while ensuring adherence to the approved list of required documentation.
- Collaborate with CRC members to verify that qualified customers receive visits for the validation of submitted data, business documentation, and collateral materials. Assessing the creditworthiness of Micro-SME credit applications for the Bank’s financing involves conducting thorough credit appraisals, in compliance with the guidelines outlined in the Product Procedure Manuals. Ensure that all credit applications submitted to headquarters for approval undergo thorough review, discussion, and evaluation by the Credit Review Committee, in strict accordance with established Product Procedures. Address all inquiries or issues from HQ (Retail Credit/Business) promptly and in strict adherence to established procedures, collaborating closely with the CRC to ensure resolution without compromising compliance or quality standards. Loan Portfolio Management
- Oversee that all approved loans comply strictly with the agreed-upon terms and conditions. Conduct post-disbursement field visits to verify that funds are being utilized appropriately and promptly document any deviations, initiating corrective measures as required. Ensure that customer visits are conducted and reports are compiled in strict adherence to the Bank’s established guidelines. Ensure meticulous documentation and accurate record maintenance for all approved credit application materials at the branch. Facilitate the prompt renewal or refinancing of eligible existing facilities to maintain operational stability and financial efficiency. Review the loan portfolio to assess its performance against established indicators and targets, then propose targeted interventions to maintain alignment with approved benchmarks. Assist the branch in formulating and implementing strategic turnaround or recovery initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of the loan portfolio. Deposit mobilization & Cross selling

- Acquire deposits from both prospective and current Micro-SME clients within the UA NASA, NBC Sham bani, and La RIBA segments. Duties include promoting the Bank’s range of existing and new offerings through cross-selling initiatives, while serving as a pivotal liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Capacity building Convene large-scale marketing and training sessions for both prospective and current customers to enhance engagement and foster product understanding. Convene educational sessions to enhance product comprehension for branch personnel and external clients. Relationship management & Advisory function
Foster and sustain strong customer relationships on behalf of the Bank to enhance loyalty and satisfaction. As a customer advisor, you will assess diverse business and lending needs, then develop and recommend tailored credit structures to meet those requirements. Reporting & Meeting attendance Attendance at CRC, Loan Delinquency, and Collections meetings, as well as other mandatory gatherings, is required as per directives from authorized personnel. Standard periodic reports, as well as any reports requested by management, are prepared and submitted on time. Education and Experience Required: Education required. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Agribusiness, Banking, Economics, Planning, or related disciplines from a reputable higher education institution. A master’s degree or professional banking certification will be considered an additional asset. Experience required. A minimum of one year of professional experience within the banking sector is required. Proficiency in providing financial services to micro and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) would be highly beneficial. Knowledge & Skills:
- Creating and innovating Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies is preferred, along with a commercial mindset at the junior level—though additional growth in this area is encouraged. The role requires proven expertise in customer excellence, specifically in service delivery, as well as a strong grasp of digital tools and platforms. Effective communication skills, both basic and adaptable, are essential, and prior experience in a comparable setting is necessary.
